In return, we expect
the student to be a contributing member of our community
and be involved in all work within the community,
whether it is work in the office, on campus, teaching
or any other work needed for the benefit of Nrityagram.
· ADVANCED TRAINING
PROGRAMME IN ODISSI
In these times of increasing
sophistication, it is no longer enough to learn
dance technique. Audiences today, look for and appreciate
complete performers and performances of an international
caliber. This includes light, sound, commentary
and presentation apart from technique.
With
this benchmark in mind, Nrityagram has a programme
to create polished, world-class performers and
welcomes serious and dedicated dancers who wish
to excel in the field of classical dance. The
Advanced Training is an intensive programme and
will require the trainee to show total dedication,
motivation and hard work. As part of this training,
the trainee will work with teachers and dancers
from all over the world.
When the trainee has reached
a level of perfection in keeping with our standards,
she/he may be invited to apprentice as a performer
with the internationally acclaimed Nrityagram
Dance Ensemble.
This will also be part of the training. |
