Manipuri In the hilly regions of far eastern India, know as Manipur, developed the Manipuri school of classical dance. Manipur boasts a very rich and diverse array of music and dances. Each of these dance forms have remained distinct, and taken as a whole, they are known as Manipuri dance. These dances include Lai-haraoba, a ritual dance central to the festivals of Manipur, Thang-ta, the martial art form of Manipur, the devotional Rasa dance and the ballad traditions which center around the stories of Radha and Krishna.
