Bijayini
has over 500 performances to her credit, which include
many prestigious venues all over India, the United
States, Canada, Denmark, Holland and the Middle
East. She is one of the two soloists who have graduated
from Nrityagram and has achieved national and international
recognition for the sheer perfection of her dance.
At present, she
is the Director of the Odissi Gurukul at Nrityagram
and is involved in the training of a new generation
of dancers. She is also actively involved in creating
new training techniques for classical dance and
in extending the vocabulary of traditional Odissi. |
